philosophy and methods

Going Public Training facilitates reproducing, missional disciples and leaders.
We are committed to a Head – Hands – Heart philosophy and holistic learning.
We are committed to the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. methodology and the importance of building strong personal relationships to catalyse missional ministry.
Reproducing:

What happens when Christians input into others lives what God has taught them –  effecting the same growth and development that they have experienced – in such a way that those invested in can go on to do the same in the lives of even more people.

Missional disciples:

Followers of Jesus who see themselves as “sent” by God to whatever setting they find themselves in, looking for and joining in with what He is doing to bring His Kingdom into individual lives and whole communities.

Head-Hands-Heart philosophy:

Quality information taken in via a collaborative learning environment (Head)
Opportunities for many varied missional experiences (Hands)
A mentoring community to aid reflection on everything learnt and experienced (Heart)

Holistic learning:

Holistic learning seeks to activate the many elements that make up a whole person: the mind, the body, the spirit, the emotions, the imagination… in order to make learning more effective.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. methodology:

Evangelism the way Jesus did it…

He Found a few teachable people
He Related to them and spent time with them
He Invested His life in them
He Exhibited a quality lifestyle around them
He Nominated them to try it for themselves
He Directed them towards excellence through supervision
He Sent them out to reproduce

Missional ministry:

The practical outworking of groups of believers looking for and joining in with what God is doing to bring His Kingdom into individual lives and whole communities.
